The rules of the game
Rates come from fixed values — conversion is computed from each denomination's official worth, not from a "market price". 1 Gold (10 u) = 1.25 Silver (8 u). Always.
Fees up front — the forge fee is displayed before confirmation; there are no hidden cuts.
Every forge is recorded — a conversion is a permanent ledger entry: source units retired on the record, new units born on the record.
Directional by design — conversion follows the ecosystem's value flow (store → spend → payout), not a free-for-all built for arbitrage.
